UZAZU DYNAMIC EMBODIMENT

After being trained for 10 months as a certified Uzazu practitioner, I interviewed Dylan Newcomb about this Method.

Dylan Newcomb is the founder & lead trainer of UZAZU Embodied Intelligence, Master Coach & Trainer, an avid embodiment researcher and Theorist.

In this episode, which we separated in 2 parts, we talk about Dylan’s background and journey from Julliard’s school, the mind-body research lab he co-founded in 2001 and what is now the Uzazu approach. We also discuss about the self- assessment background ad why it is different from other self- assessments you may know.We also discuss how Uzazu can help from a “coaching perspective’ but also to work on trauma (and how I use it along with Compassionate Inquiry- Gabor Mate's approach), and how Uzazu includes both mind and body, by also working with words.

In Part 2, you will see how Uzazu Dynamic Embodiment - Encompasses The Polyvagal Theory of Stephen Porges, The window of Tolerance (Dan Siegel),

  • How Uzazu works from body to Mind (somatic) as well as Mind to body (sensing the words we say)

  • The 4 quadrants of Uzazu and its relationship with all areas of our life

  • Practical examples of how a coach or a somatic practitioner can use Uzazu
